Thaís is a screenwriter, producer and director, and a partner at Filmes do Atlântico. She recently filmed “Besos Brujos”, a co-production with Argentina. “Sensor de Ausência”, co-produced with Vitrine Filmes and the French company So-cle, is her first feature in development as a director. She wrote the award-winning short “Alice” (dir. Gabriel Novis) and is currently co-writing the feature “Pitangueira” with Elen Clarice and Gabi Boeri. Between 2022 and 2023, she curated FRAPA, collaborated on the screenplay for “Edificante” (dir. Marcelo Lordello, in post-production), and completed her short “Havana's Sky”. With over ten years in production, she has produced seven features, including “Rio Doce”, “Ainda Não é Amanhã” and “Salomé”, also working as a script consultant. She holds a PhD in Cinema (UFPE), a Master’s in Screenwriting (EICTV), and a Master’s in Urban Planning (UFPE). Her research focuses on character development and cinematic space. She lives between Recife and São Paulo.
In 2021, Thaís was awarded a fellowship to the Maestría en Escritura Creativa, a master's degree from the International School of Cinema and Television (EICTV) of San Antonio de los Baños, in Cuba.
