Safira Moreira (Salvador, 1991) is a photographer, director, and screenwriter. Her first feature film, "Cais" (2025), won Olhar de Cinema (Best Film – Official Jury, Audience, and ABRACCINE Critics) and was screened at festivals such as Guadalajara (Mexico) and BlackStar (USA), financed by the Sundance Documentary Fund, RUMOS Itaú Cultural, and Fundo Avon. Her work explores memory, ancestry, time, and dreams. She graduated in Cinema from Escola Darcy Ribeiro and in Visual Arts from Parque Lage (RJ). She directed the short film "Travessia" (2017), which won awards at several festivals and was screened at the opening of the Rotterdam Film Festival. In 2022, she directed the short film "Alágbedé", screened at the É Tudo Verdade festival, and "Da Pele Prata", released this year at Panorama Coisa de Cinema.

In 2026, Safira was selected for the Cité Internationale des Arts and became part of the Paradiso Talent Network.
