Rosa Caldeira is a visual artist and trans filmmaker from the favelas of São Paulo, with roots in northern Minas Gerais and southern Bahia. Their films have been screened and awarded at over 40 festivals, including Berlinale, Locarno, and Havana. They are a member of the Paradiso Talent Network, Berlinale Talents, and Málaga Talents, and the founder of APTA and Maloka Filmes. In 2021, Rosa was awarded a fellowship to study at the International School of Cinema and Television (EICTV) of San Antonio de los Baños in Cuba.
