Karen Suzane is a filmmaker whose directing style, much like a bird in flight, is free-spirited and intuitive. Her debut feature film, "Quatro Meninas" (Four Girls), won three awards at the Brasília Film Festival, was selected for the Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival and the São Paulo International Film Festival, and made its international debut at the Berlinale in 2026. She co-directed the series "Negro Muro" for the GNT channel, directed two advertising campaigns, the web series "DNA Gastronômico," and eight other short films, including "Ciclo," "Um vestido para ver a mamãe," "O capitalismo matou meus pais," "Coragem," "A mulher que eu era," "Vestido de Luto," and "Barulho."
In 2021, Karen received the Paradiso Award after being selected for the Hubert Bals Fund with "Four Girls", written alongside Clara Ferrer.
