Giuliana Monteiro is a producer, screenwriter, and director. She holds a Master’s degree in Film Production from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she wrote and directed several audiovisual projects. She is currently part of Elefanti Films, an independent production company based in São Paulo, where she develops and produces audiovisual works. Her films have been showcased at major international and national festivals, such as the Berlinale, Viña del Mar, Toronto, Festival Internacional del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano de La Habana, It’s All Truel, Cine Ceará, and Kinoforum, among others. She is currently developing her first fiction feature film, “After the Mud Dries.” The script received the Spike Lee Fund for development and the Rainin Grant from the San Francisco Film Society (SFFILM).
