Clara Ferrer is a Brazilian filmmaker interested in telling stories about the complexities of womanhood and about youth as a window to empathize with the most vulnerable aspects of personhood. Born in 1988, she got a degree in Geology and worked in the mining industry before pursuing a career in the film industry. Graduated in Filmmaking, she co-directed the short films "Seria Melhor Se Você Tivesse Morrido", "A Casa de Ana" and "Toró". Developed with support from the Hubert Bals Fund and the BoostNL Programme, her first feature as a writer, "Quatro Meninas", was exhibited at the 76th Berlinale and the 58th Brasilia Festival of Brazilian Cinema, where it received awards for Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, and the Special Jury Award. Clara also works as a freelance writer, developing projects with production companies from all over Brazil, and script consultant, collaborating with development labs at Festival Primeiro Plano and Festival Curta Cinema, among others.

In 2021, Clara received the Paradiso Award after being selected for the Hubert Bals Fund with "Four Girls", written alongside Karen Suzane.
