RENATO SIRCILLI is a director, screenwriter, and editor. He graduated in Audiovisual Studies at the University of São Paulo, with additional training at INSAS and Sint Lukas, in Brussels. His filmography interweaves LGBTQ+ sexuality, aging, and sound as a narrative force. His seven short films have screened at more than 100 festivals worldwide, including BAFICI, Havana, Ann Arbor, Bogoshorts, and Tiradentes. He joined the Brazilian Cinema Delegation at Clermont-Ferrand 2024 and served as a juror for the Frameline Completion Fund 2025 in San Francisco. His short “The Cutest and Funniest Animals in the World” (2023) won 20 international awards, was a finalist at the Grande Otelo Awards, and was named one of the 10 best Brazilian shorts by Abraccine. He is currently developing his first feature film, Relaxing Sounds for Sleeping (Dezenove Som e Imagens), selected for the Residência Base and the Queer Palm Lab at the Cannes Film Festival, under the mentorship of Charlotte Wells (Aftersun).
In 2025, Renato was selected for the Queer Palm Lab at the Cannes Film Festival and became part of the Talent Network.
