Screenwriter, director, actress, and director of Grupo Nós do Morro. A resident of Vidigal, where she was born and works as an educator at Grupo Nós do Morro and in other NGOs and collectives, she has 25 years of filmmaking experience. She was a casting researcher and conducted workshops for the film City of God. Her first short film Mina de Fé (2004) received awards at the 37th Brasília Festival, Best Short Film 2004, and was screened in over 20 countries. She wrote and directed the episode Acende a luz for the film 5x Favela, Now by Ourselves, produced by Carlos Diegues and screened at the Cannes Film Festival (2010). She is the author of the book Meu destino era o Nós do Morro (Aeroplano) and collaborated on the scripts for Praça Paris (Taiga Filmes) and As lendas de Dandara (TV Globo). She co-directed the documentary 7 Cortes de cabelo no Congo (Best Brazilian Feature Film Award at the 11th Olhar de Cinema) and the series How To Be A Carioca (Star+). Her feature film "A Festa de Léo," the first feature film from Nós Do Morro, has already won at Festim (Lisbon).

Luciana was selected for the Paradiso Incubator 2026 and became part of the Paradiso Network.
