Felipe Mucci was born in Brazil into a family of filmmakers and stepped in front of the camera at just two years old. By twelve, he had discovered that storytelling could replace school presentations, and from that moment on, everything shifted. During his teenage years, every school project became a short film. After high school, he crossed borders in pursuit of craft and perspective, moving to Toronto to study at Sheridan College. He later earned his master's degree in directing from the prestigious American Film Institute Conservatory in Los Angeles. At AFI, he wrote and directed four short films, including his thesis Vlado, which screened at more than thirty festivals worldwide and reached the semifinals of the Student Academy Awards (Oscars) In 2020, Felipe co-wrote a script with a friend and soon found himself on set directing his first feature, Two Deaths of Henry Baker. The film premiered at the Austin Film Festival and now streams on HBO Max. The project opened doors, connecting him with producers who invited him to helm new stories. His second feature, Detained, starring Abbie Cornish and Laz Alonso, was filmed in 2024 and is available on Paramount+.

In 2025, Felipe received a fellowship for SERIESMAKERS 2026 and became part of the Paradiso Network.
