Emanuel is a filmmaker and actor graduated in Performing Arts from the Universidade de Brasília and holds a master’s degree in screenwriting from EICTV, Cuba. With the project of his 1o feature film, "A ONÇA", between 2024-2025 he participated in Global Media Makers (Film Independent, USA); in the Incubadora Paradiso (with mentorships by Céline Sciamma and Helen Beltrame Linné) and in Berlinale Talents, where he was also selected for the Script Station (Berlinale, Germany). In 2023, he took part in BAL-LAB (Festival de Biarritz, France), MAFF - MAFIZ (Festival de Málaga, Spain) and was awarded at GUIÕES (Festival de Roteiros Lusófonos, Portugal). In 2022, in addition to BRLab and the Laboratório de Novas Histórias, he was selected for Brasil Cine Mundi, where he won the main award (Best Feature Film Project), as well as the BioBioLab award (Chile) and the Audience Design Award (WCF, Berlinale). His short film "AS MIÇANGAS", co-directed with Rafaela Camelo, premiered at Berlinale Shorts (Berlinale, 2023).
In 2024, Lavor was selected to participate in the 6ª edition of the Incubadora Paradiso with the project "A Onça". In the previous year, Emanuel received a Bolsa Paradiso to participate in PLOT, a screenwriting lab linked to the Festival Guiões, in Portugal, and became part of the Rede Paradiso.
In 2024, Lavor was selected to participate in the 6th edition of the Paradiso Incubator with the project "A Onça". Lavor was awarded a fellowship to PLOT, a script development lab linked to the Guiões Festival, in 2023.
