André Di Franco is a Brazilian filmmaker, producer and curator. He holds a master degree in Film Curating from Elias Querejeta Zine Eskola, supported by a Projeto Paradiso, and a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from the HfbK Hamburg, as a fellow of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung. In 2024, he premiered his first feature-length documentary, Palimpsesto. His work in film and video has been presented at important venues across Latin America, Europe, and Asia. He is currently completing his second feature film, Nemesis or the Terrorist Ballads of Sabado Dinotos, co-directed with Laura Coggiola. Through his production company Apartamento 00, he is producing projects by filmmakers such as Sofia Tomic, Danilo Carvalho, and Philipp Hartmann. As a curator, he has programmed screenings and festivals in Croatia, Spain, and Brazil. Between 2019 and 2021, he worked at the Municipal Department of Culture of Belo Horizonte, where he coordinated the city’s Audiovisual Development Program, BH nas Telas.

André was awarded a fellowship to attend the Film Curating Studies master’s degree of Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola in San Sebastián, Spain, in 2021.
