Rodrigo Séllos is a director, editor, and screenwriter. In 2020, he won the Best Film award at the 53rd Brasília Film Festival with the documentary "Por onde anda Makunaíma?" The film was also part of the official selection of the Havana Film Festival. His short film "You Don't Know Me" won Best Short Film at the Rio Film Festival and received a Special Jury Mention at the 21st Málaga Film Festival. For TV and streaming, he directed "Happy Hour com Mariana Ximenes" (Happy Hour with Mariana Ximenes) (GNT/Globo Play), which won the Venice TV Award 2023 for best TV program in the Branded Entertainment category. As an editor, Séllos has worked on 14 feature films. In 2024, he won the Best Editing award for the documentary "Invisible" at Cine PE 2024 (Brazil) and edited "Paradeiros", which won the Special Jury Prize at the Rio Film Festival. He is currently producing his first fiction feature film "MACUXI", and developing the documentary "MPB 60 anos" and the fiction film "Little Americans".
Rodrigo Séllos' first fiction feature film, "MACUXI'', received the Paradiso Award for Best Feature Film Script at FRAPA 2019.
