Luciana Vieira is a Brazilian screenwriter and director, and one of the La Factory directors of 2025 with the short “Blind Spot” (Quinzaine des Cinéastes; Festival do Rio). She was also the director’s assistant on Motel Destino, a film by Karim Aïnouz, selected for the official selection at Cannes 2024. She co-wrote and co-directed the comedy series Se Avexe Não (Netflix), the series Meninas do Benfica (Canal Brasil), the telefilm Guerra da Tapioca (Globoplay) and the series Lana & Carol (Tv Futura). She also edited the short The Party and the Barking (Best short Cinema du Réel 2015) and produced the documentaries As Cores do Divino (Canal Brasil) and Um Pedaço do Mundo (GNT). Luciana already attended international workshops such as Produire au Sud (FR), French-Brazilian Laboratory from Varilux (FR) and Brasil CineMundi (BR). She worked as a script consultant for the Cena 15 Laboratory from Porto Iracema das Artes Art School for eight years.
In 2025, Luciana received the Paradiso Award at Cabíria and became part of the Paradiso Talent Network.
